The Spirit of Indian Folk Art
Indian folk art has always been an important part of the culture. I am fascinated by the richness and diversity of traditional folk-art forms, which has been passed down through generations. It’s not just an artist’s expression but also a way to portray the stories, memories, values and beliefs.
I would like to share the rich heritage and variety of Indian folk arts forms from different regions of India. These painting are done in Madhubani (from Bihar), Kalamkari (from Andhra Pradesh), Pichwai (from Rajasthan), PattaChitra (from Orissa) and Kerala Mural (from Kerala) styles.
